This product works great. It takes about 5 minutes to put together, including the time it takes to unpack it.
I haven't used it a lot, mainly due to procrastination. I can tell you from the time I used it that it will find metal, and most of the time it will give a different tone based on what it is. Deep tones are iron, aluminum is a higher pitch. This helps you weed out poptops and the like. It's not to heavy, for my first metal detector it's awesome.
